Kaylee's first day of school
Today, Kaylee started Kindergarten. I cannot believe she is old enough to be starting school. I didn't think this would be very emotional after all it's only 2 1/2 hours. The school is only about a block away, so we walked there this morning. It was a piece of cake until it was time to leave. I said good-bye with no problems, but for some reason walking out of the school was a different story. It was a very lonely walk home. At least when I got back, Steve and Wyatt were waiting for me. When it was time to go get her, we got out the stroller and all went for the walk. She won't let us know how her day went. She "doesn't want to talk about it right now." Maybe I can give you an update tomorrow. Click on Kaylee's World to see pictures of her first day.

Catching Smiles is Hard Work
Wyatt smiled his first purposeful smile on the way home from Disney Land (Aug. 30, 2008). Before then, his smiles seemed to be purely accidental. I've been trying to catch it on camera since then with not much luck. Here are some of my attempts from today. I'll keep trying.

Disney Land
Steve is on leave for two weeks, so at the last minute last week we decided to pack up the kids and go to Disney Land. I was a little unsure about traveling with a 5 week old, but he was a trooper and no problem at all. We all had a great time. Here is a slide show of our pictures from the trip. There are about a million and three of them, but you can stop looking if you get bored. There are not that many of Wyatt as he slept through the whole trip. Enjoy!

Update
I am finally feeling close to my old self after the surgery and after suffering from Mastitis last week. Steve left for the field Sunday morning and Mom left Monday, so we are on our own this week. We're doing much better than I thought we would. My mother-in-law was supposed to come last week, but fell and broke her femur, and had to be rushed to the hosipital and have surgery. She was in Las Vegas visiting her other new grandbaby, so she is still there until she can make it home. Please pray for her and for a speedy recovery. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for us through all this. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Okay, enough of this, I know what you are really here for....pictures. Enjoy!
